Tea and Talk - Mental Health Week
Mental Health Awareness week is from Monday 13th May to Sunday 19th May. During this week we will be running a tea and talk event on Wednesday the 15th May at lunchtime in the main hall.
Throughout the tea and talk event there will be refreshments including tea, coffee and juice. There will also be a cake sale – all cash donations are welcome, however big or small.
As you are aware we are a nut free school and this will still apply to the cake sale. Cakes being sold on the day will have been prepared in home kitchens that may not be allergen free. Notices advising this will be displayed on the day. If your child has a food allergy please feel free to donate a ‘free from’ cake and we will ensure that this is clearly labelled and on a separate table.
We will also have some games that the students can play at 50p per go;
• Guess the weight of the cake. The closest guess wins the cake.
• Guess how many sweets in the jar. The closest guess wins the jar.
• Pick your favourite ice-cream game and be entered into a draw to win a Chill and Grill voucher for 2 x double ice-creams.
During this event we will have our Sixth Form mental health champions supporting students.
Any student that attends this event will be entered into a free raffle to win a wellbeing hamper.
