Released as a sequel to the ever-popular film Mary Poppins (1964), which has been performed as a stage musical all over the world ever since, Mary Poppins Returns came to cinema screens in 2018 curtesy of Walt Disney Pictures, with the new score composed by Marc Shaiman, of Hairspray fame.  We are still waiting to see if Disney release the show as a stage musical….
