“One of the most iconic musicals of all time.”  With a script and musical score by Warren Casey & Jim Jacobs, Grease was first staged in 1971 in a nightclub in Chicago. It quickly moved to Broadway where, by the time it closed in 1980 it was the longest running show ever (obviously it has been surpassed by many others now). The reason for its closure was the phenomenal success of the film, released in 1978 – who can forget John ‘the hair’ Travolta and Olivia Neutron Bomb?
